Remote and hybrid work

An engineer working from a home office on a video call

Where a role can be done from is decided by the work, not by policy.

Some of what Zealogics does requires hands on a machine — a tool in a fab, a high-voltage test bay, a board on a bench. The rest does not. Rather than apply one rule to both, every posting states its own arrangement, and that statement is binding.

01 — The three arrangements

Named on every posting.

On-site

Equipment engineering, field sustaining, test and lab roles. The work is physically at the machine, and the posting names the site and the shift pattern.

Hybrid

Roles with a lab or customer component alongside desk work. The posting names how many days on site and which — set by the team, not by a company-wide number.

Fully remote

Most software, AI, data and delivery roles. Hired against a country rather than an office, with the pay band of the market you work from.

02 — What makes it work

Distributed by default.

01

Written first

Decisions land in a document before they land in a meeting, so being in a different timezone costs you context rather than a vote.

02

Overlap, not office hours

Teams agree a few hours of overlap and protect them. Outside that, when you work is yours.

03

Equipment and connectivity

Machine, peripherals and a connectivity allowance where the role is remote — supplied, not reimbursed after the fact.
