Inclusion and fairness for all

Eight hundred people, ten countries, one standard for how they are hired, paid and promoted.
Distributed companies drift. Two offices interview differently, one region's pay bands slide out of step with another's, and a team far from headquarters stops being considered for the interesting work. The practices below exist to catch that drift while it is still small.
01 — In practice
Where fairness is actually decided.
01 / Hiring
One structured process, everywhere
Every candidate for a role takes the same AI interview against the same rubric before a human sees the file, and every technical round runs from a written scorecard. The point is not the score — it is that two candidates in two countries are measured against the same thing.
- —Same rubric per role
- —Structured scorecards
- —Reviewers named on the file
02 / Pay
Bands, reviewed annually
Pay is set from a band for the role in the market it sits in, not from what a candidate happened to earn before. Bands are re-benchmarked once a year, and the distribution inside them is reviewed for gaps that track to anything other than the work.
- —Role bands per market
- —Annual benchmark
- —Distribution reviewed for drift
03 / Progression
Promotion on evidence
Advancement runs off a written case against the level definition, reviewed outside the reporting line. Being in the same room as a decision-maker is not supposed to be an advantage, and a distributed company has to be deliberate about that.
- —Published level definitions
- —Written promotion case
- —Cross-region review
04 / Access
Accommodation as standard
Interview format, working hours, equipment and workspace are adjustable on request, at any stage, without needing to explain more than the adjustment itself.
- —Adjustable interview format
- —Flexible hours
- —Equipment and workspace support
